COLUMBIA, MO, July 26, 2018 — The American LED Alliance announced today the selection of The Independence Fund as the recipient of its philanthropic donations. Light-emitting diode (LED) technology has delivered proven energy savings over the past decade, across public and private sector facilities. In addition to promoting energy saving and job creation through U.S. LED manufacturing, The American LED Alliance is now dedicating 5% of the membership dues to support U.S. Veterans in need beyond the support that they receive from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
“We applaud the work that The Independence Fund has undertaken in support of the men and women of armed services that make so many sacrifices to preserve the freedoms that we cherish.” – Charlie Szoradi, Leadership Council Chairman of the American LED Alliance.
The Independence Fund is a national nonprofit assisting wounded, ill, and injured Veterans and their Caregivers. The organization has provided more than $50 million of direct support to military families since it was founded in 2007.
“We are tremendously grateful for the support shown by American LED Alliance through our new partnership and look forward to what will be a very successful campaign to provide assistance to the men and women who have sacrificed so much to protect our Nation,” – Sarah Verardo, Executive Director of The Independence Fund.
